Cookies anyone?
It’s that time of year again for the eagerly awaited tradition of Girl Guide Cookies since 1927.
Grimm and Reaper helped with opening the cookie boxes.
‘Trick’, on the left is modeling the current style of Girl Guide uniforms.
‘Skin-Ann’ and ‘Bones’ are both modeling vintage 1970’s uniform… Check out those badges!
Even Spidey is helping with the cookie sales.
“I promise to do my best to eat all the cookies.”
Pumpkin the Rat is the official Girl Guide cookie tester!
Over 6 million boxes are sold across Canada each year to support Girl Guide programs.
Mmmmm… Delicious!
This is the Skeleton handler’s vintage Brownie uniform from the 1970s.
She found the original notes still in the pockets from selling cookies. They were sold back then for 75 cents a box. My how things have changed!
Thank you to:
Monique Knott-Brickman for submitting the idea for the Skeletons to sell Girl Guide Cookies,
Emerson and Amy for props,
Boshart Family for the fabulous outfits,
Diane for early morning ‘Too-wit, Too-wit, Too-Woo’ setup singing.
And to my mom, for keeping my uniforms after all these years! So many great memories of the 1st Mitchell pack. Thank you!
