When 3 Skeletons appeared at our front door 10 years ago as a fun Halloween activity for my son Justin, I had no idea the impact they would have on our lives, and the smiles they would bring to our community and people around the world.
The Skeletons were created to show the magic of childhood, the creativity and imagination of Halloween. It has been an incredible adventure creating well over 200 different skeleton antics, meeting so many fabulous people, and who knew that so many Skeletons were in my closet?
The highlight of the 10th anniversary season for me was creating the rock climbing scenes with Justin and the team at Pursuit Climbing in Stratford, ON
It was a full circle MOM moment as Justin is the only reason the Skeletons of Vivian Line exist and it was so much fun to watch him create the Skeletons rock climbing which is one of his passions.
Thank you so much to our incredible Skeleton fans for their kindness and generosity in raising $28,159.04! In addition to a matching program by Operation Smile Canada, our total for 2023 was $50,718.18. WOW! Such an incredible donation to Operation Smile Canada! Skeleton fans have given the gift of smiles to 211 children born with cleft lip and palate differences. Since 2018 Skeleton fans have raised $108,558.14 (452 smiles) and with matching donations the total is $132,621.18 (552 smiles).
