Today is our lockdown farewell, an opportunity to share some of our favourite pics of the last 52 days, and to express our sincere gratitude.
Thank you to Brad Hernden, and the City of Stratford for asking the Skeletons to provide smiles, laughter, and a light-hearted distraction while we all stayed home safe during the lockdown. Little did we know that the 28 days of lockdown would turn into 52 days of lockdown fun with so many different Skeleton antics and a new beagle puppy.
Our goal was to give you a smile everyday and share our antics during lockdown.
✔ January 1st Bare Bones Dip remains one of our favourites.
✔ It’s important to be kind to yourself and others during these difficult times. Everyone is struggling in their own way during covid.
✔ Getting outside and enjoying everything that winter has to offer.
✔ Staying at home is the perfect time to learn something new.
✔ Let’s support our friends and neighbours who own businesses by shopping locally.
✔ Remembering that there is always HOPE!
✔ The skeletons did keep their new year’s resolutions, however, finding some muscles is a little questionable.
Special thanks to my great friends Dawn, Lisa, and Sarah, for their ongoing support and props. Lisa helped with all the downtown Stratford skeletons antics as well as the cross country skiing. Dawn is an igloo builder extraordinaire and her love of the outdoors contributed to the skeletons outdoor antics. Thanks to Sarah A. for all the late-night phone calls, and many creative ideas.
Michelle Jamieson, Mez Art our skeleton doctor – who fixed many broken bones, especially after a cross country skiing incident.
Thanks to Justin and Quin for being available during our 911 skeleton emergencies.
I would not be able to share the skeletons with the world if it were not for Linda Mae, of the Virtual Trillium. The skeletons’ antics are shared on our website, Facebook, and Instagram including stories, videos, and reels. She takes care of the skeletons’ social media so that I can concentrate on creating the antics.
A big shout out to YOU, the Skeletons fans for your kind words and support that warm our hearts, hilarious comments that tickle our funny bones, and share the love around the world.
We appreciate the donations that were made to Operation Smile Canada on behalf of the Skeletons.
The skeletons will return in 236 days on Thanksgiving Monday to celebrate their 8th season of Skeleton Antics. Until then we need to concentrate on training Ace…
Thank you, everyone! Keep smiling and have fun.
