Day 16, 2016 – It’s Time for a Parade

The skeletons always willing to volunteer to support their community staged their own pumpkin parade today to help advertise:

Stratford’s  6th Annual Pumpkin Parade November 1st  5-9pm– at the Bandshell.

And now you can help publicize this amazing, fun, community event – by forwarding this email to friends, posting on Facebook or a social media of your choice.  Help spread the word, to make this the best pumpkin parade ever!

Give your pumpkin one last farewell with a parade in its honour!

Just like the skeleton’s pumpkin parade Tim Horton’s will be there donating apple cider and timbits.

And the Timbits are delicious!!

Last year over 2000 people of all ages enjoyed over 1400 glowing Jack-O-Lanterns.

It is an equal opportunity parade for each member of the squash family – all gourds, pumpkins, squash, no matter the size, shape or colour are welcomed.

There will be a pumpkin carving contest for ages under 5,  6-9 years, 10-14 years and over 15 years.

Bring your carved creations and maybe you could win one of the fabulous prizes.  Judging begins at 6:30 pm.

After the parade all the pumpkins are gathered up and taken to the wild boar farm…so don’t let your pumpkin go to waste at the landfill when it can be a wild boar’s breakfast.

Volunteers are still needed to help with this fun community event.  All ages are welcome, but only students can earn community service hours.

Even Spidey dropped in for a cup today!!

Thank you Robbin &  Matt – Erie & Ontario St. Tim Hortons for sponsoring both parades.

Thank you Lynn River Farms for the assorted gourds, pumpkins

The Mabee & Higgins families for lending me their wagons!

SMILE…LAUGH….ENJOY

Cheers,
~Melissa
