Thank You!

Thank you to all the Skeleton Vivian Line Fans who donated to Operation Smile.   On Halloween night, generous trick-or-treaters raised enough for one smile with $240 donated that evening, bringing the donation box total to $800.  With the help of 3 generous supporters and including the online donations the total raised was over $1,400!!!  THANK YOU!

Your kindness and generosity will change the lives of 6 children suffering from cleft lip/palate by providing surgery and follow up medical care.

Operation Smile mobilizes a world of generous hearts to heal children’s smiles and transforms lives across the globe because a SMILE changes everything.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Skeletons of Vivian Line for their 6th season and bringing our number of displays with no repeats to over 120.

I would not be able to set up the skeletons every weekday morning without the amazing help of Diane Murray.  Thank you also to Justin, Deb Murray, Amy, and Emerson Skotniczny, the Smidts family of Fairfield Skeletons for their weekend assistance of setting up and takedown.

Thank you to Dawn Crowley, John Brunner, Randy Knight, the It’s About Thyme team, Chris Steingart of QT Web Designs, and Tim Lott of Tim’s Tree Care for their behind the scenes help.

Thank you to everyone who made suggestions for different antics – including selling girl guide cookies, going to school, car wash, unicycles, and the Rock-n-Bones Band.

Thank you to everyone who donated props including all my awesome neighbours, Soup Surreal, On-Stage Dance, Joan Chapple, Davidson’s, Barlows, Conrads, Sharon Katz, Robbin Hewitt, Lynn River Farms, Land & Ross Antiques, and especially Lisa Kilpis/Sebben family, I couldn’t have pulled off this year’s antics without you!

The most amazing prop of all, which made our Halloween Finale a huge success was Audrey II, created by the incredibly talented Eden Kontrimas.   Thank you so much!

A very special boney high five to all the skeleton fans:
– Who shared the skeleton’s smile around the world through emails and social media.
– For all the kind comments and suggestions through email, Facebook and Instagram.  It kept our weary bones going!
– Galen Simmons, Stratford Beacon Herald, and Jamie Cottle, Juice FM for promoting the skeletons.

Thank you to Linda Mae Ogilvie, from The Virtual Trillium for the many long hours and late nights managing the skeletons’ online world!

Thank you, everyone, for all your support.   We didn’t have a theme for this year’s Skeletons displays – it was all about having fun.  I have had the most fun this year setting up the displays, and I feel we created some of our best.  The ‘We Are All the Same’ scene resonated with so many fans that it was shared around the worldBianca Andreescu saw our skeleton antic ‘Match, Set, Point’ and shared it in her Instagram story!   Maybe she will autograph Pumpkin the Rats tennis racket?

We did have an awesome display planned for November 1st, but with the weather conditions, we just couldn’t pull it off.

However, it will be an amazing way for the Skeletons of Vivian Line to return October 2020.  The Skeletons of Vivian Line are heading back into the closet, and we are already looking forward to season 7.

Smile… Laugh… and Enjoy

Melissa McKerlie
