Day 4 – Wheeling to Victory!

The 2021 Skeleton Olympic Games scheduled for this fall on Vivian Line have been postponed until 2022 due to road construction.

These Paralympic athletes hit the ‘open’ / ‘closed’ road to advance their training for marathon season which is now underway.

The Skeletons began the race with a rolling DEAD start.

It was an intense wheel-to-wheel race.

Would the wheelchair racers wheel to victory over the hand cyclist?

Where are the brakes!!

The Skeletons out completing yardwork stopped to watch as these racers wheeled by in their hi-viz team jerseys.

***REMINDER, The Skeleton crew is getting the lawn ready for the in-person antics this Saturday and Sunday at 3217 Vivian Line, Stratford, 10:00am – 8:00pm
(Skeletons apparel will be available and donations accepted for Operation Smile Canada)

The parasport athletes keep their heads on a swivel to watch out for vehicles.

Please watch for all cyclists on our roadways and give them space.

It was inspiring to watch ALL the athletes in Toyko this past summer.

Thank you to Roger Koert for supplying the wheelchairs, jerseys.

I really enjoyed doing this display and learned so much from Roger.

Thank you to Justin, and Diane for their assistance.

SMILE…LAUGH…and ENJOY!
