Day 16, 2020 – Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Bare Bones Productions is proud to present the Skeletons of Vivian Line in the Wizard of Oz.

‘Toto, I’ve got a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.  We must be over the rainbow!’

The Skeletons are off to see the wizard today.

‘Lions, and tigers and bears… Oh, my!’

Buy your tickets at the door for a special one day only performance.

Will the Tin Man get a heart? Will the Scarecrow get a brain?  Will the cowardly Lion have the courage to meet the great and powerful Oz.

What adventure will they encounter on the yellow brick road?

Skin-Ann, Bones star as Dorothy and the Tin Man.

A heart for the Tin Man – ‘A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.’

A brain for the Scarecrow – ‘That’s the trouble, I can’t make up my mind. I haven’t got a brain… only straw.’

Some courage for the Lion – ‘You’re right, I am a coward!  I haven’t any courage at all. I even scare myself.’

I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!

The Wicked Witch of the West is watching from her magical crystal ball.

‘Somewhere over the rainbow way up high… there’s a land that I’ve heard of once in a lullaby.’

Special appearance by Pumpkin the Rat as Toto the dog.

‘Oh, Toto, there is no place like home… there is no place like home… there is no place like home!’

All quotes have been taken from the 1939 original musical film The Wizard of Oz.

Special thank you to Bare Bones Productions props and wardrobe department for today’s production.

Especially Melissa, our bus-driver friend whose family wore these costumes three years ago when trick-or-treating at the Skeletons’ House and who slows down her school bus every day so the kids can see the display.  Thank you!

Thanks to Diane for today’s setup and Shona for finding the yellow brick road.
